Teaching Assistant Rank
Rank submission process
Teaching Assistant ranks must have been completed within a 1-year period and submitted to the Board within 12 months of the completion of the final component of the rank.
Ranks are reviewed 3 times per year. Meeting dates will be scheduled sometime after the following submission dates: February 1st, June 1st, and October 1st. Any rank not received in full (including payment) by the meeting date will be considered for review following the next submission date.
Please mail to the address below:

A cover letter to the CABAS® Professional Advisory Board requesting review that includes your current email address

The original rank with all required signatures (keep a copy for yourself)

A check made payable to FASST® for $25 (US) OR use the PayPal feature below

A letter of support from a CABAS® Behavior Analyst mentor or supervisor who was present during the completion of the majority of the rank and can attest your professional conduct during that time

A self-addressed postage-paid cardboard photo mailer large enough to accommodate a 8.5 x 11” piece of paper (unless you are a current TC student or work in a local CABAS® school)
Teacher I and II
Rank submission process

Scanned copies of Teacher I and Teacher II ranks may be emailed along with, a letter requesting a review of the rank and a letter of recommendation from a mentor to: Jessica at js408@tc.columbia.edu.
Master Teacher rank
Rank Submission Process
Master Teacher ranks must have been completed within a 3-year period and submitted to the Board within 12 months of the completion of the final component of the rank.
Ranks are reviewed 3 times per year. Submission dates each year are February 1st, June 1st, and October 1st. Any rank not received in full (including payment) by the submission date will be considered for review following the next submission date.

A cover letter to the CABAS® Professional Advisory Board requesting review that includes your current email address

A Table of Contents containing APA style references and/or annotated bibliography detailing each component of each of the three tiers of the rank, along with permanent products for each component OR a brief description and/or rationale for each component. TPRAs do NOT need to be sent, but the letter of support (see below) should state that they were completed. This must be submitted electronically in PDF format.

A letter of support from a CABAS® Behavior Analyst mentor or supervisor who was present during the completion of the majority of the rank and can attest your professional and ethical conduct during that time. The letter of support also needs to provide support or agreement for the completion of each component of the rank.

NOTICE: All Teacher ranks (Teacher I, Teacher II, and Master Teacher) started after 7/1/19 must be completed within a 3-year time period. Ranks started before that date should be completed as soon as possible and must be submitted to the Board within 3 months of the final signature. All rank submissions must be the current rank.

Behavior Analyst and Research Scientist ranks must be submitted to the Board within 12 months of the completion of the final component of the rank.
